Okay, so it's really more of a "of the moment" series... but whatever, right?


Today's Epic Sea Creature is the Dusky Dolphin.

Everybody knows what a dolphin is, although I suspect most don't really think about the fact that there are more than just bottlenose dolphins. Duskies live in the southern hemisphere, along coasts of South America, New Zealand, and other places.

What makes them epic (aside from being dolphins <3) is the extent to which they work together. I watched a National Geographic episode (on YouTube...I can find the link again if somebody wants it) about wild dolphins, and the last 15 minutes or so was dedicated to a group of Dusky Dolphins herding a huge school of fish.

They didn't have enough dolphins, so they called for help, and more groups of the duskies showed up from miles away. Epic.
